Company in Roseville, MI, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 31, 2017, surrounded
by family.

The Timber Products board of directors announced that Steve Killgore will assume leadership of the company on February 20. Mr. Killgore has more than 40 years of experience in the wood products industry.

Columbia Forest Products, Commonwealth Plywood, States Industries, and Timber Products Company have petitioned the Department of Commerce to find that Chinese hardwood plywood products with face and back veneers made of softwood species, suitable for decorative use, are being used to circumvent the recently issued antidumping and countervailing duty orders on hardwood plywood products.

As expected, Chinese plywood producers, exporters, and domestic importers have filed appeals at the U.S. Court of International Trade. The appeals challenge both the International Trade Commission's decision finding injury to U.S. producers from these imports and the Commerce Department's final rate determinations. The schedule for filing briefs and oral argument will be announced next. The antidumping and countervailing duties on Chinese hardwood plywood remain in effect.
