Commerce Initiates Anti-Circumvention Inquiry

In response to a request from the Coalition for Fair Trade in Hardwood Plywood, the U.S. Department of Commerce will initiate an anti-circumvention inquiry to determine whether plywood with face and back veneers of radiata or agathis pine is circumventing the antidumping and countervailing duties on hardwood plywood products from China.

Compliance Dates Set For EPA Formaldehyde Rule

The parties in Sierra Club v. Pruitt have reached an agreement that sets the "manufactured by" dates for the Formaldehyde Act of Title VI of the Toxic Substances Control Act to June 1, 2018 for producers and fabricators of composite wood panels.

Products certified by a CARB TPC that is also recognized by EPA will be recognized as compliant until March 22, 2019.
