U.S. Hardwood Assessments Show "Negligible Risk" For Illegal Timber

The American Hardwood Export Council commissioned jurisdictional risk assessments to evaluate the risk of any illegality associated with hardwood production in the U.S., to support due diligence required by regulations like the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The 37 American Hardwood Assured risk assessments show that there is "negligible risk" across all criteria. This result demonstrates the strength of U.S. forest governance.
